The highly acclaimed Minnesota Symphonic Winds concert band, directed by Dr. Timothy Mahr of St. Olaf College, will provide an evening filled with great music. The evening will be highlighted by the performance of an original piece written especially for this occasion by Burnsville area composer, Gregory Sylvester. The Minnesota Symphonic Winds has just celebrated its 30th year of presenting beautiful music to audiences in the Twin Cities and around the world. The ensemble consists of more than 90 accomplished musicians who are dedicated to their craft and the idea that music enhances and adds value to the lives of those who perform, as well as the lives of the listening audience.
