Our 36th annual community fund raising event this past  April 30, "A Comedy for Caring" was an unqualified success.  We raised more than $56,000,  significantly exceeding our goal of $50,000.
 
Because of your generous contributions, Rotary will be able to  fulfill our commitments to the twenty-five non profit organizations we support, and to also provide additional relief to some of these charities who are faced with increased demands in this troubled economic environment.
 
To name just a few....Lewis House will be able to provide more  emergency care to the abused, at a time when the need has increased.. Cedar Alternative will be able to continue offering support to kids who have committed themselves to completing their education, when public financing is decreasing.  A few more weekend meals will be given to needy grade school students in the "Brainpower in a Backpack" program , and 360 Communities will have more resources to assist with tutoring language challenged grade school children and to  offer helpful counseling for their families.
